What the Gas Safety Check Involves

For your safety and peace of mind, it is highly recommended that your static caravan or lodge undergoes a Gas Safety Check on an annual basis. This ensures all your appliances and pipework are functioning correctly and safely. Many holiday parks also require an up-to-date certificate for compliance. Our dedicated Gas Safe registered engineers provide professional, certified inspections for all static caravans.

A certified Gas Safety Check (often referred to as) is a professional inspection of your holiday home's entire gas system:

·     Testing all gas pipework for soundness and leaks.

·     Inspection of all flues for correct operation and ventilation.

·     Checking the function and safety of all gas appliances (cookers, fires, water heaters).

·     Verification of adequate ventilation in the holiday home.

·     Examination of all connection equipment in the caravan.

When the Gas Safety Check has been completed, a Gas Safety Certificate will be supplied detailing the outcome of the test.

If any appliance fails the test, it is the responsibility of the gas fitter to immediately disconnect it until customer-authorised repairs have been completed.
